Have to post something about Weird Tapes/ Memory Cassettes/ Memory Tapes. Dayve Hawk is 28 year old stay at home dad from New Jersey who has been cranking out the dancey electro tunes since 2008 under the name Weird Tapes. I downloaded this first “album,” Get Religion, in late 2008 and instantly became a fan. Since that time Hawk has been producing music none stop. Not only dropping his own album under the new name Memory Tapes dubbed "Seek Magic" but also turning out a new fantastic remix almost every other week. If a new popular new song hits the bloggo realm, such as Yeasayer’s new single “Ambling Alp,” it’s only a matter of time before Memory Tapes gets his sticky (from creative juices) hands on it. Hawk probably just dropped something hot while I was typing this.
